This policy applies to all journals published under Kerolex Academic Press

Kerolex Academic Press (KAP) is committed to ensuring originality and maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity in all its publications. All journals under KAP strictly prohibit plagiarism in any form.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the use of another person’s work, ideas, data, or words without proper acknowledgment. This includes:

  • Direct copying of text without citation
  • Paraphrasing without proper reference
  • Self-plagiarism (reuse of one’s own previously published work without disclosure)
  • Use of data, images, or figures without permission

 Plagiarism Screening

  • All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software
  • Manuscripts are screened before peer review

Acceptable Similarity Index

  • The acceptable similarity index is generally below 10–15%
  • Higher similarity may lead to rejection or request for revision

 Actions Against Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected at any stage:

Before Publication

  • Manuscript may be rejected immediately
  • Authors may be asked to revise the manuscript

After Publication

  • The article may be retracted
  • A retraction notice will be issued
  • Authors’ institutions may be informed in serious cases

Author Responsibility

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original
  • Proper citations and references must be provided
  • Authors must disclose if any part of the manuscript has been published previously

Editorial Responsibility

  • Editors are responsible for ensuring plagiarism checks are conducted
  • Suspected cases will be handled according to ethical guidelines

Use of Third-Party Material

  • Authors must obtain permission for copyrighted material
  • Proper acknowledgment must be given

All journals under KAP adhere to strict anti-plagiarism policies to maintain credibility, transparency, and trust in scholarly publishing.
